Thiruvananthapurm, Oct. 9 -- The Dalit Congress State Executive Committee in Kerala has demanded a comprehensive Vigilance investigation into the alleged irregularities and misuse of Scheduled Caste (SC) development funds in the construction and administration of the Palakkad Government Medical College over the past decade.
The party alleged that the institution, established entirely with funds meant for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, has witnessed serious violations, fund diversions, and mismanagement under successive state governments.
According to the Dalit Congress, the medical college was completed under a master plan worth Rs 539 crore, funded exclusively from the Scheduled Caste Development Fund.
