Srinagar, Sept. 21 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today emphasised the importance of preserving lakes, rivers, and other water bodies through community involvement.

Speaking at the Dal Lake cleanliness drive in Srinagar as part of the ongoing 'Sewa Parv', Sinha felicitated Swachhagrahis for their valuable contributions to cleanliness campaigns.

"Our natural resources are reminding us to learn from the wrongs we've committed in the past. "We must respect the delicate balance of nature and make concerted efforts to clean our lakes and rivers," the Lieutenant Governor said.

He stressed the need to synergise economic development with environmental conservation.
