Los Angeles, Oct. 22 -- Dakota Johnson, best known for her portrayal of Anastasia Steele in the erotic romantic drama "Fifty Shades Trilogy," will be trying her hands on filmmaking with "A Tree Is Blue," featuring Charli XCX and Jessica Alba.
The screenplay is penned by Vanessa Burghardt, and may also see her stepping into a role on screen.
Production is expected to begin next month in Los Angeles, although the storyline has been kept under wraps. Sales for the project are being managed by CAA Media Finance, while Rivulet Entertainment is providing full financing.
