Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 21 -- Kerala Police arrested 88 persons and registered 85 cases in a massive statewide anti-narcotics operation, codenamed Operation D-Hunt.

During the special drive, police screened 1,619 individuals suspected of drug peddling. The raids led to the seizure of 0.47 kg of MDMA, 16.569 kg of ganja, and 60 ganja beedis.

The operation, conducted on September 19 under the direct supervision of the ADGP (Law and Order), was aimed at cracking down on drug storage and distribution networks. It was coordinated by the State Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Cell, the NDPS Coordination Cell, and range-level intelligence units.
