Moscow, July 2 -- The Czech army has increased salaries for all categories of servicemen as of July 1 - by 7.5% for enlisted men and by 5% for officers and generals, Czech media reported.
The second salary increase by exactly the same amount will take place on January 1, 2026, Czech Television reported on Tuesday.
At the same time, the amount of housing allowances has been doubled - from 3,000 Czech koruny ($143) to 6,000 Czech koruny, the report said, adding that the amounts of retention and recruitment allowances have also been increased. Army recruits will be able to receive a one-time allowance of up to 1 million Czech koruny.
A total of 1.2 billion crowns have been allocated in the 2025 budget for the implementation of these goals....
