Amaravati, Nov. 27 -- The deep depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal intensified into Cyclonic Storm 'Ditwah' on Thursday and is expected to bring heavy to extremely heavy rainfall to several parts of Andhra Pradesh between November 29 and December 1, according to a special bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department at 1600 hours.
The storm, located close to the Sri Lanka coast near latitude 6.9degN and longitude 81.9degE, was centred about 610 km south-southeast of Puducherry and 700 km south-southeast of Chennai.
Moving north-northwest at around 15 kmph, it is expected to track along the Sri Lanka coast and reach the southwest Bay of Bengal off the North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry-South Andhra Pradesh coast by early November 30....
