Amaravati, July 22 -- The Meteorological Centre on Tuesday reported that the upper air cyclonic circulation, which was earlier located over the west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off south Odisha and north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, now lies over south Odisha and its neighbourhood.
It extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilts southeastward with height.
In its daily weather report, the Centre also stated that an east-west trough is currently running roughly along Latitude 13degN, extending from north-central Karnataka to south Coastal Andhra Pradesh at 5.8 km above mean sea level.
A fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal around July 24, 2025, the report said.
