PUNE, Oct. 5 -- : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall along Maharashtra's coastal belt from October 3 to 7 due to Cyclone Shakti.
Considering the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, the state government has directed district administrations to remain on high alert.
According to the forecast, Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri districts are likely to witness intense rainfall accompanied by strong winds at speeds of 45-65 kmph.
