Khammam, Oct. 31 -- Standing crops in four and a half lakh acres were damaged in Telangana state due to Cyclone Montha as per preliminary estimates, according to Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao.
Talking to reporters after visiting flood-affected families at the relief camp at Nayabazar School here today, the Minister said the crop damage might increase after a full-scale crop damage survey is conducted, and officials have been told to collect the details quickly.
