Kolkata, Oct. 26 -- The Meteorological (MeT) Department today said that Cyclone Montha is unlikely to have a direct impact on West Bengal, though it will bring heavy rainfall to several districts of South Bengal, including Kolkata, from tomorrow onwards.
According to a special bulletin issued by the department, the cyclone is expected to make landfall between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatam along the Andhra Pradesh coast, near the Kakinada region, on Tuesday evening or night.
