Chennai/Vijaywada, Nov. 29 -- Cyclone Ditwah was on Saturday late evening closing in on the Tamil Nadu coast, bringing with it heavy rains that lashed Chennai city and neighbouring regions, even as the weather office issued red alerts for five coastal districts. More than 20 flights were cancelled in Chennai due to inclement weather while Southern Railways announced changes in trains on certain routes.

Cyclonic Storm Ditwah over the south Bay of Bengal is moving at a speed of 10 kmph and is set to touch the Tamil Nadu coast by midnight tonight, and then move towards Andhra Pradesh.
