Bilaspur, Sept. 16 -- While the Internet and smartphones have made life faster and easier, they have also become the easiest tool for cyber criminals, with several recent cases revealing that even a moment of carelessness can wipe out a person's life savings.

District Superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal said that Bilaspur, like the rest of Himachal Pradesh, is no longer untouched by cybercrime, and the methods of criminals are constantly evolving. He stressed that public awareness is the biggest defence against these threats.
