Cyberabad, Nov. 19 -- In a focused week-long crackdown on online offences, the Cybercrime Police, Cyberabad, detected 11 cases till Tuesday, leading to the arrest of 18 accused across multiple states, an official said on Wednesday.
Most of the arrests were linked to trading fraud, which continued to dominate the cybercrime landscape, the police statement said.
During the week, police cracked eight trading fraud cases, two impersonation fraud cases, and one digital arrest fraud. Officers seized 17 mobile phones and four SIM cards from the accused.
The Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police also secured 200 refund orders from the court, enabling victims to receive a total of Rs 63,23,971 across 53 cases.
