Hyderabad, Aug. 25 -- The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has recovered cryptocurrency assets worth 2,703 USDT (approximately Rs. 2.38 lakh) from an accused's wallet in connection with a cyber fraud case registered at Ramagundam.

The case was lodged by a Mancherial resident, employed as an Associate Manager in a software firm, who was duped through a fake profile on Bharat Matrimony. The fraudster, posing as "Nanditha Reddy," befriended the victim and lured him into investing in cryptocurrency via a fraudulent platform.

The victim, believing promises of high returns, ended up losing more than Rs 87 lakh through various fake charges and investments.
