New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- Delhi Police today busted an interstate cryptocurrency fraud syndicate by arresting a man who allegedly duped a Delhi resident of Rs 55,100 in an online 'work from home' scam, an official said.

The accused, identified as Sukhpreet Singh (25), a resident of Agwar Pona in Ludhiana, was arrested following a detailed investigation into an FIR registered on the complaint of Sangam Yadav of Shahdara.

"Yadav had come across an Instagram advertisement promising work-from-home opportunities and was lured into joining a Telegram group named AARAVI (RECEPTIONIST), allegedly linked to a fake company named Vimerse," said Prashant Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara).
