Hyderabad, April 19 -- The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad have arrested a Delhi-based accused in connection with a job fraud case.

A resident of Punjabi Bagh, Delhi, Manish (30) is allegedly involved in two cases-one in Telangana and another in Karnataka-and operated as an account holder and supplier for fraud syndicates.

The arrest followed a complaint from a 27-year-old woman in Hyderabad, who reported losing Rs 1.49 lakh after being duped via fake job offers listed on an online portal. The fraudsters, posing as recruiters from "JobsPlace in," lured her into paying registration, medical insurance, and security fees with false job guarantees.

The case has been registered under relevant sections of the IT Act and BNS.
