Bengaluru, Dec. 26 -- The simmering leadership tussle within the Karnataka Congress has intensified ahead of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting scheduled for Saturday with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar publicly confirming that he has not been invited, while Chief Minister Siddaramaiah alone will represent the state at the party's highest decision-making forum.

Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said, "I am not invited for the CWC meeting and will attend the CWC meeting if invited," adding, "Till now I am not invited." He said he had information that the Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh had been invited for the meeting. "Will have to attend if invited by the party," he remarked.
