Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- In an effort to engage with the farming community of Koraput, students from the Department of Agriculture, Central University of Odisha (CUO), demonstrated the cultivation techniques of Kharif (summer) potato and interacted with local farmers.
This initiative is part of the department's ongoing outreach programme aimed at bridging academic knowledge with grassroots agricultural practices.
The students visited the field of farmer Bisu Bairagi in Paliba village, Lamtaput block, Koraput district, to conduct the demonstration.
By working directly with local farmers, the department seeks to understand cultivation challenges, assess soil texture and fertility, and offer practical, research-based solutions.
