Sydney, Sept. 2 -- Australia's Ashes and T20 World Cup 2026 preparations have taken a blow with Test captain Pat Cummins set to miss white-ball series against New Zealand and India due to lumbar bone stress.
Whilst clear of stress fractures, the Australian Test captain will continue a rehabilitation plan after complaining of back soreness following his side's successful tour of the West Indies, and remainsno guarantee to feature in the first Ashes Test against England on November 21.
Despite the setback, chairman of selectors George Bailey believes there are no major concernsfor Cummins, and remains positive he will play the first Ashes Test in Perth from November 21.
