Ranchi, April 18 -- The Central University of Jharkhand hosted an expert lecture on flood risk assessment and climate vulnerability, highlighting the role of satellite data and GeoAI in disaster management.
The lecture was delivered by Surajit Ghosh, an integrated water data science specialist at the International Water Management Institute, Colombo, under CGIAR.
Speaking on the use of NISAR mission data, Ghosh said advanced satellite imaging enables accurate monitoring of floods under all weather conditions, improving prediction and response systems.
