Pankaj JainNew Delhi, April 6 -- Amid rising concerns over gas supply and prices due to escalating tensions and conflict in West Asia, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has urged the Centre to make Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) completely tax-free.
CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that Goods and Services Tax (GST) on LPG and Value Added Tax (VAT) on PNG be reduced to zero to provide relief to both consumers and businesses.
