Chennai, March 23 -- Unable to cope up with spinners Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja on a slow turning wicket, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were bowled out for a meagre total in the first match of the IPL 2019 here on Saturday night.

Asked to bat first on a wicket, where the ball was hard to come to the bat, RCB were bowled out for 70 in 17.1 overs, with opener Parthiv Patel emerging as the top scorer (29, 35 balls, 2x4), the only double digit scorer and was the last man out in the innings.

This was the second lowest total for RCB in IPL after 49 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
