New Delhi, June 23 -- : In a significant step towards promoting sustainable technologies and a circular economy in India's Northeast, two premier CSIR institutions have partnered to establish plant-based vegan leather manufacturing units in the region.
The CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, on Monday inked a pact with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), an autonomous body under the Department of Science & Technology, to facilitate the initiative.
