London, Aug. 11 -- Crystal Palace won their first Community Shield on Sunday, defeating Liverpool 3-2 in a penalty shootout after twice coming from behind in regulation time.



Last season's FA Cup winners forced the match to spot-kicks, where goalkeeper Dean Henderson saved from Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott, while Mohamed Salah sent his effort over the bar.



Liverpool's Alisson Becker denied Eberechi Eze and Borna Sosa hit the crossbar, but Oliver Glasner's side held on to claim the trophy.
