Kanpur, Aug. 30 -- The body of CRPF Inspector Nirmal Upadhyay was found under mysterious circumstances inside a car parked outside the Cantt side of Kanpur Central railway station.

The body was discovered yesterday evening in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, with visible injuries on his face and neck, and burn marks on one of his hands. Sleep-inducing pills were also found in the car.

According to GRP (Government Railway Police), the deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Nirmal Upadhyay, a native of Behta in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, and currently posted with the 83rd Battalion of CRPF in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
