Srinagar, Feb. 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Monday said that cross border firing was adversely affecting the lives of people living near the Line of Control (LOC).

The Deputy Chief Minister said this while talking to media persons in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

"It is very unfortunate that we have been seeing cross-border firing since 1947 and it is adversely affecting the people living near the LOC.

The Deputy CM was referring to the recent incident of cross border firing in Jammu division.

Choudhary acknowledged the pain and suffering caused by the cross border firing and emphasized that the people living there are always on the receiving end.
