Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- In a major operation, the Virar Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a heroin smuggling ring that was sourcing narcotics from Pakistan, leading to the seizure of drugs valued at eight crore four lakh forty thousand rupees.

The crackdown was part of ongoing campaigns to curb drug trafficking in the Vasai-Virar and Mira-Bhayander regions, under the guidance of Police Commissioner Niket Kaushik.

On September 11, a team from Virar Crime Branch Unit 3 conducted a raid at Shripal Tower on Fatherwadi Rangenaka Road, apprehending three individuals: Samundarsingh Devda aged 49, Yuvrajsingh Rathod aged 28, and Takatsingh Rajput aged 38.
