Bhubaneswar, July 26 -- With rise in water level in rivers and creeks due to the monsoon downpour, estuarine crocodiles are entering the water bodies in village areas in Odisha's Kendrapara district at will with the forest personnel netting a straying croc from a community pond on Saturday.
A 6.3-ft-long female saltwater crocodile was netted by the forest officials from a pond at Endulalapur village close to Bhitarkanika national park of Odisha's Kendrapara district, said officials. The forest personnel swung into action after locals informed the forest department of the sighting of the croc.
