Latehar, Dec. 5 -- Police have arrested Shahid Ansari, an accused involved in transferring nearly Rs 50 lakh as levy for the Aman Sahu and Rahul Singh gang, a senior officer said on Thursday.
Ansari, a resident of the Lower Bazar police station area in Ranchi, was an active gang member.
Circle Inspector Parmanand Birua informed during a press briefing that Ansari carried out the online transfer of Rs 50 lakh on the instructions of gang members Akash Rai and Monu.
The case is linked to Balumath P.S. Case No. 12/25, in which seven accused have already been sent to jail.
The enforcement team recovered an Android mobile phone and several crucial documents related to the financial transactions.
