Lucknow, Sept. 27 -- Inspector Ashwani Chaturvedi, posted in the Crime Branch at Chinhat Police Station, died under mysterious circumstances after allegedly drowning in the swimming pool of the 35th Battalion of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) early Friday morning.
The incident has raised several questions, prompting a thorough investigation by police authorities.
According to sources, Inspector Chaturvedi went for a swim around 8 AM, dressed in his swimming gear. However, when he failed to return home for a prolonged period, his family grew concerned and began searching for him. Eventually, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was called in, and his body was recovered from the swimming pool.
