Hyderabad, Feb. 1 -- The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) Hyderabad has acknowledged the Union Budget 2025-26 but expressed concerns over the lack of direct support for the real estate sector, despite its crucial role in economic growth and employment generation.

In a statement here on Saturday, CREDAI said that the recently released Economic Survey 2024-25 underscores the significance of the real estate sector, which contributed nearly 45 percent to the total services GVA in the first half of FY25. As one of India's largest employment generators, real estate plays a vital role in supporting numerous ancillary industries.
