Srinagar, March 27 -- Even as two more separatist groups -- J&K Tahreeqi Isteqlal and J&K Tahreek-I-Istiqamat -- announced severing ties with Hurriyat, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday stepped-up its crackdown on proscribed separatist outfits under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) cases.
In its relentless efforts to dismantle the remnants of secessionist and terrorist ecosytem, Police in Srinagar continued to conduct searches and raids at multiple locations as part of the ongoing investigations into cases registered under UAPA.
The cases pertain to banned organization, including Jammu and Kashmir Peoples' League -Bashir Ahmad Tota Group.
