Vijayawada, May 24 -- CPI National Council Secretary K Narayana on Saturday urged the Andhra Pradesh government to intervene to bring the two Maoists' bodies from Chhattisgarh to their native place in Srikakulam district.
In his letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Narayana requested him to intervene and see that the bodies of Nambala Kesava Rao & Sajja Nageswara Rao, who were killed at Bastar in Chhattisgarh, be brought to their native place, Tekali, Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.
The two senior Maoist leaders from Andhra Pradesh were killed in the recent encounter in Chhattisgarh.
The 70-year-old Kesava Rao, alias Basavaraj, was the General Secretary of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist).
