Patna, March 25 -- The CPI(ML) on Tuesday demanded that the government withdraw punitive action against Jeevika cadres who were agitating in support of their charter of demands in all parts of Bihar.
Leader of CPI(ML) legislative party Mehboob Alam submitted a memorandum to Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, requesting him to withdraw with immediate effect, all punitive actions taken against Jeevika cadres. The Bihar government had also issued a directive to stop financial assistance being given to them for their indulgence in agitation, but later the related order was withdrawn, he pointed out.
