Agartala, Aug. 22 -- The Opposition CPI-M has sharply criticized the BJP-led Tripura government for failing to provide basic civic amenities to urban residents and mishandling the implementation of the Agartala Smart City projects, which were launched nearly a decade ago to modernize the city.

Veteran CPI-M leader and former Urban Development Minister Manik Dey accused the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the state government of neglecting civic infrastructure, with conditions steadily deteriorating due to a series of administrative failures.
