Thiruvananthapuram, July 12 -- Accusing the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala of using the State Election Commission for a shadow war, BJP State General Secretary MT Ramesh said today that the voter list update process for the upcoming local body elections is being indefinitely delayed due to political motives.

"There is a deliberate attempt to hinder the voter list revision process. The CPI(M) is trying to prevent voters from participating in the upcoming local body elections," said MT Ramesh.

Urging the State Election Commission to rectify the technical flaws in the voter registration process, the BJP warned that failure to address these issues could result in many eligible voters being excluded from the list.
