Kolhapur, Sept. 28 -- Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Prof. Com Subhash Atmaram Jadhav passed away this morning following a severe heart attack. He was 65 years old.
Mr. Jadhav was admitted to a private hospital after suffering the heart attack but tragically passed away before receiving medical treatment.
A senior member of the state CPI-M and secretary of the district CPI-M committee, Jadhav was widely recognized as a prominent labour leader and an expert on sugarcane cultivation.
He actively championed the rights of sugarcane workers, serving as the state secretary of CITU and heading the state sugarcane cutter and transport labour union.
