New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) today strongly condemned Israel's repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, urging the international community to apply pressure for immediate compliance.

In a statement, the CPI(M) Polit Bureau voiced grave concern over Israel's "aggression and expansionist policies," which they argue have made the current ceasefire extremely fragile. The CPI(M) asserted that a lasting peace hinges on fundamental changes.

"A lasting peace is possible only with the recognition of the State of Palestine and an end to military and political support for Israel from the United States and its allies," the statement said.
