Thiruvananthapuram, July 28 -- Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has alleged that the preparations for the upcoming local body elections have been completely sabotaged by the ruling CPI(M) in the state.

He stated that serious irregularities have been identified in ward delimitation and voter lists in several municipal corporations, including Thiruvananthapuram, as well as in the majority of panchayats.

Despite receiving hundreds of complaints, the State Election Commission has reportedly failed to take any action, he said.

"Even though the BJP raised these concerns during all-party meetings, no solutions have been offered. The situation has reached a point where approaching the courts is the only option left," he added.
