Hyderabad, Sept. 22 -- The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee today demanded that the state government provide clarity on the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) alignment and related land acquisition issues.
In a statement here, State Secretary John Wesley cautioned that any attempt to forcibly acquire land without consulting farmers, holding village meetings, or ensuring transparency would face serious resistance.
As per HMDA's notification, the RRR will be constructed with a width of 100 meters, spanning eight districts, 33 mandals, and 163 villages. Additional land is also expected to be acquired for a parallel railway track.
