Hyderabad, July 15 -- A shocking firing incident in Shalivahana Nagar Park, Malakpet, Hyderabad, claimed the life of CPI state council member Chandu Nayak (43) today.
According to police, a group of three-four assailants arrived in a car around 7.30 am, sprayed pepper in his eyes, and opened fire, killing him on the spot.
The brazen attack sent panic among morning walkers, many of whom fled the area in fear.
On information, the police reached the spot and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the culprits.
