Puducherry, Oct. 9 -- Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India on Wednesday urged the administration to constitute an expert committee to study the revival of all the textile mills here along with setting up of a ready made garments park.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at the party's executive committee meeting held here today.
The meeting felt that it is not fair on the part of the government not to ensure the functioning of the mills which provide employment to at least 15,000.
Another resolution urged the administration to take steps to provide the pending salary and bonus to all workers here, ten days before the Diwali festival.
