Hyderabad, Jan. 8 -- The Hyderabad District Council of the Communist Party of India (CPI) on Thursday organised a protest rally from Marvel Function Hall to YMCA, Narayanguda, condemning the attacks on minority communities, including Hindus, in Bangladesh.
Addressing the gathering, CPI Telangana State Assistant Secretary E.T. Narasimha said public anger against the Sheikh Hasina government over corruption and irregularities had led to political upheaval in Bangladesh, forcing her to flee the country.
Though an interim government under Younis was formed with hopes of restoring peace, certain religious forces were now inciting hatred and carrying out attacks on minorities, political opponents and press offices, he alleged.
