New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- BJP President J P Nadda announced today that C P Radhakrishnan, Governor of Maharashtra, will be the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the Vice-Presidential election.
The decision was taken unanimously at a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board held here this evening.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and other members of the Board.
In a press conference at the party headquarters, Nadda said that Radhakrishnan's candidature was decided upon after consultations with NDA constituent parties and that the party would also hold discussions with Opposition parties.
