Imphal, June 21 -- The number of Covid positive cases in Manipur has reached 112 with addition of 30 new cases on Saturday.
Most of the cases are concentrated in Imphal West and Imphal East districts.
Among those who were found positive, 98 were on home isolation and there is no report of any casualty so far according to state health official. Meanwhile health officials said most of the cases were not related to travel outside the state and hence there is need to follow Covid Appropriate behaviour.
Health official said the currently circulating lineages of omicron variants are JN1, XFG and LF 7.9. These variants tend to cause a mild illness with fever, cough, sore throat, which usually subsides on Its own.
