Puducherry, July 12 -- As many as 81 people were tested positive for the Coronavirus here in the last 24 hours ending at 1000 hrs on Sunday taking the total number of infected to 1418.
According to the Puducherry Health department, 71 new cases were reported in Puducherry region and 10 in Karaikal.
No new cases were reported in Mahe and Yanam regions of the Union Territory.
The department said that at least 49 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours taking the number of cured to 739.
As many as 26 patients were discharged from the government medical college,13 from Jipmer, nine from Covid Care center(CCC) and one from Mahe GH.
