Puducherry, Feb. 27 -- As many as 20 more persons were tested positive for Coronavirus and one died since the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM on Saturday, taking the tally of COVID infection cases to 39,717 and death toll to 668 in the Union Territory.
According to the COVID-19 status released by the health department here, of the 1,414 swab sample tests conducted on Friday, 20 persons tested positive for the virus.
Nine new cases each were from Puducherry and Karaikal regions and two from Yanam region.
For the first time Mahe region reported no fresh cases.
About 16 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours and 10 of them were from Puducherry region, two from Karaikal region and four from Mahe region.
