Nashik, Dec. 16 -- The First Class Court on Tuesday sentenced Maharashtra Sports Minister Manikrao Kokate to two years in prison in the case of embezzlement of 10 percent flats in the government quota.
Kokate had approached the District Sessions Court against this sentence. After the arguments of both sides in the case in District Sessions Court, the court has now announced the verdict. This verdict is considered a big setback for Manikrao Kokate.
The District Sessions Court has upheld the sentence given to Manikrao Kokate by the First Class Court.
