Sambhal (UP), April 4 -- A local court on Friday rejected the bail plea of the Sadar of Jama Masjid, accused of inciting violence during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal, in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that on November 24 last year, violence broke out in Sambhal during the survey of Jama Masjid being conducted on the orders of the court. "Four people died in the violence and several policemen were injured in the ensuing violence" .
