Srinagar, Dec. 23 -- A special court in Budgam district of Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the attachment of over 1.5 kanals of land belonging to US-based Kashmiri lobbyist Ghulam Nabi Shah, also known as Dr Fai.
The prosecution sought attachment of the property of Fai, under Section 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code (now Section 85 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita), on the ground that the court had in April declared him an absconder in connection with FIR No. 46/2020, registered for offences under Sections 10, 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
